The demolition of 1020 Ryan Street, the former site of the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office, will begin Monday, March 11.

At its Feb. 26 meeting, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Parishwide Drainage Committee heard a presentation from "Stormwater Management in Calcasieu Parish 2.0," a study of parishwide drainage maintenance commissioned by the Police Jury.
“The Zone,” a family-friendly, alcohol-and-tobacco free area targeted for families with children and teens, is back again for Mardi Gras.

All Calcasieu Parish Police Jury departments will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
The Calcasieu River is now open to recreational boat traffic.
