Rossignol Boat Launch to Close During Bridge Replacement Project

Post Date:05/06/2019

The Rossignol Boat Launch, located at 686 Rossignol Road west of Bell City, will be closed beginning Monday, May 13.

The closure coincides with the start date of the Rossignol Road Bridge Replacement Project. The launch is being closed due to its proximity to the construction area and for safety reasons.

The project consists of replacing the existing Rossignol Road timber bridge with a concrete slab span bridge. Work is estimated to last 165 days.

Guinn Construction, with a bid of $996,500, was awarded the project.

“The existing timber bridge was built in 1986. The concrete bridge replacement will reduce future bridge maintenance and repair work and provide a structure that meets current design standards,’ said Tim Conner, Parish Engineer.
