Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Launches New Citizen Self Service Portal
Residents, contractors, developers and other professionals can now do business online with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s Division of Planning and Development.
The new Citizen Self Service (CSS) Online Portal, which launched April 1, allows residents, contractors, developers and other professionals to do searches on various development applications, as well as apply and pay for permits, zoning and subdivision applications. All registered contacts associated with a submitted record will be able to track the progress of required reviews, request inspections and pay-related invoices.
Using the portal, registered contacts can do the following:
- Apply for plans and permits
- Schedule your inspections
- View your active plans and permits throughout the unincorporated areas
- View your active code cases
- Access and search for information without having to register or sign in.
The Self-Service Portal is designed with ease of use and convenience in mind. Receive updates on your applications, status of reviews and inspection results - in real-time.
“The portal has been a long time in the making,” said Wes Crain, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Division of Planning and Development Director. “With the expansive growth in our Community, the need to provide a better level of service to our Citizens and Stakeholders was recognized which prompted our search for a product that met the community needs.”
In the last quarter of 2019, there will be some expanded and additional capabilities added to the portal, including renewal of Occupational Business Licenses and Interactive Plans Review with Engineering and Design Professionals.
