Calcasieu Parish Police Elected to Statewide Office
Tony Guillory, Calcasieu Parish Police Juror for District 4, will serve as third vice president of the Police Jury Association of Louisiana (PJAL) executive board for 2019. This makes him eligible to serve as president in 2023.
Guillory was elected at the Police Jury Association of Louisiana’s recent annual convention, which was held in Lake Charles, and is the sixth police juror from Calcasieu to serve on this board.
As third vice president, Guillory will attend meetings throughout the state, encourage senators and state representatives to support PJAL on relevant issues and promote PJAL statewide.
“I will continue to take the time, commitment and effort to represent Calcasieu Parish at state and regional meetings and conferences,” he said.
Guillory is currently serving his third term as the District 4 Police Juror. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, he is employed by Don Harris State Farm Insurance Company.
On the state level, Guillory is, an at-large member of the Executive Board of the Police Jury Association, as well as vice president and president (2016-2017) of the Black Caucus of the Louisiana Police Jury Association. He was also a member of PJAL’s Community Development Committee and the Criminal Justice Committee.
