‘Movies Under the Stars’ Canceled for Friday, April 13
High winds, threat of storms have ‘Coco’ singing the blues
Due to the windy conditions and the threat of stormy weather, tonight’s “Movies Under the Stars” feature, “Coco” has been canceled.
But, don’t worry; there are still two more Movies Under the Stars features left this spring:
- April 20 – “Cars 3:” Displaced by a new generation of high-tech racing cars, Lighting McQueen finds himself cast aside from the sport that he loves. Hoping to get back in the race, he turns to Cruz Ramirez, an eager young trainer who has her own plans for winning. With inspiration from the Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected twists and turns, No. 95 prepares again to make his Piston Cup comeback (Rated PG).
- April 27 – “Wonder:” Based on the New York Times bestseller, the movie tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, who was born with mandibulofacial dysostosis, a rare facial deformity. When Auggie, a fifth grader, enrolls in public school for the first time, his family, his new classmates, and the community all struggle to discover their compassion and acceptance. Auggie's extraordinary journey unites them all and proves you can't blend in when you were born to stand out (Rated PG).
All movies will start at sundown at Prien Lake Park, but get there early to get a good seat. Residents are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. You can also bring your own food, but there will be food available on site for purchase.
Movies will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
