In discussions with civics teachers,
we have found that little
information is available for teaching about local government, much less
Calcasieu Parish. With this in mind, in 1994 we created Calcasieu Parish
Government: A Guidebook on the History and Structure of the Calcasieu Parish
Police Jury. The links below include the same information contained in the
booklet.
The web site also includes other information that we hope will be
