Hal McMillin was first elected in 1999
and was re-elected in 2004 and is serving his second term as a Police Juror. He served as a Westlake
City Councilman from 1995 to 1999, and served as Parish President in 2005 and
helped to lead the recovery efforts after Hurricane Rita. He works for
Levingston Engineers as Business Development Manager. He and his wife, Sue, have five
children, Marsha, Boone, Amy, Chris, and Patrick. He is a charter member
of Westlake Ducks Unlimited, and a Ducks Unlimited sponsor. Hal retired
after 23 years of service at Conoco Chemical/SASOL, and is formerly the Outdoor Reporter for the local NBC Affiliate - KPLC Channel 7
News and Outdoor Reporter for KVHP Fox 29. His hobbies include
salt-water fishing, hunting duck, goose, and dove, and snow skiing. Hal is a certified open-water scuba diver
and his latest achievement is that he is a Licensed Louisiana Auctioneer
(License #1661-07). He
also enjoys most outdoor activities and sharing the best of Southwest Louisiana
with friends.
Committees: Public Works, Ways and Means, Agenda, Litter Abatement and Solid
Waste, Parishwide Drainage Liaison (Chair), and Special Service Districts
Review. Mr. McMillin
represents District 14, which includes the southeast corner of Ward 6, mostly
south of Dunn Ferry Rd. and east of Hwy. 27; also Northeast Ward 4 including the
City of Westlake, and Mossville, and the area north of Sulphur to the Houston
