Ellis Hassien was elected in 2007 for his first term as a member of the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.  He is a District Sales Coordinator with AFLAC and has been with AFLAC for 10 years.  He and his wife, Hollis, have three children, William, Sarah, and Jacob.  He is a member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church, the Sulphur Athletic Association, Sulphur Football Boosters, Sulphur Ducks Unlimited, Profit and Loss, and the Chamber Southwest.

Committees: Public Works, Ways and Means, Agenda, General Insurance (Vice Chair), Alcohol Review, Parishwide Drainage Liaison, Special Service Districts Review, and  Wastewater Study.

Mr. Hassien represents District 12, which includes the Carlyss and Choupique area in Ward 4 that is south and west of Sulphur (excluding most of the Industries), but extending to the parish line, and the south half of Ward 7 including Vinton in the southwest corner of the Parish.
