The Police Jury, at its
regular meeting on December 20th,
approved amendments to its Code of Ordinances
pertaining to drainage. The purpose of the
amendments is to help prevent drainage problems from
occurring in new developments in unincorporated
areas of the parish.
The amendments were
approved after an extensive review and several
drafts developed by a group that included Police
Jurors, parish staff from Engineering, Planning and
Development, and Administration, as well as local
developers consulting engineers and others.
