Gremillion receives Mutual Aid President's Award

February 7, 2002

On January 9, 2002, Dick Gremillion, Director of the Office of Emergency Prepearedness was awarded the 2001 President's Award at the Southwest Louisiana Mutual Aid Association meeting by Lloyd Miller, President.  This award is presented annually to selected members of the organization who demonstrate leadership abilities and exemplifies the meaning of the organization which is to support fellow members and emergency responders throughout the region.

Mr. Miller states,"...He serves on committees from the federal to local level and I have seen him and heard him being an advocate for the Southwest LA Mutual Aid Association where ever he goes.  He has a vision of what it takes to have an outstanding emergency response community, the initiative to begin to make improvements, the wisdom to see the ways that are needed to make changes, and the intestinal fortitude to see the job through to completion despite obstacles and criticism.  It is my pleasure and honor to present this years President's Award to Dick Gremillion."

Congratulations to Dick on receiving this esteemed honor.
