In August, the Calcasieu
Parish Police Jury appointed members of the public to serve on the Prien Lake Park Development Task Force. This
advisory group represents various segments of the public,
and will give multiple
perspectives regarding the development of Prien Lake
Park, which has been expanded with the acquisition
of 20 acres adjacent to the existing park.
The Goals of the Task Force:

To
reach a consensus in recommending an
appropriate theme and elements to include in the development of the
park;

To
provide input to the Police Jury in evaluating the
proposals submitted for design of the park.
Progress of the task force and public input will be received at a
public meeting to be held in December at a date to
be announced.
