The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Office of Juvenile
Justice Services had a ribbon cutting ceremony of
the new Training and Education Center on Thursday,
March 27th at 9:00 a.m. The center is
located at 3615 East Prien Lake Road, Lake Charles,
adjacent to the Juvenile Justice center.
The center was a collaborative effort of the
Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Office of Juvenile
Justice Services, Calcasieu Parish District
Attorney’s Office, 14th Judicial District
Family and Juvenile Court, Calcasieu Parish School
Board, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department, and
the City of Lake Charles. Funding for the new
building was provided through the Louisiana
Commission on Law Enforcement Juvenile
Accountability Incentive Block Grant, Calcasieu
Parish Police Jury funding, and local funding
sources.
Honorable Billy H. Ezell, Family and Juvenile Court
Judge was recognized for his years of dedicated
service, from 1985 until 2002, to Juvenile Justice
in Calcasieu Parish.
