The
Calcasieu Parish Police Jury began its culvert
installation program in the unincorporated areas of
the parish in January, 2000. This program has helped
to bring uniformity to maintenance of roadside ditch
drainage throughout the parish.
Steps for having a
culvert installed:

A culvert installation
permit shall be required for all new culvert
installations in the Parish road right-of-way in the
unincorporated areas of Calcasieu Parish.

All driveways must be 24
feet in width and will consist of reinforced
concrete culverts.

Your ditch will be
measured to determine the diameter of pipe to be
installed.

An estimate on the
materials only will be sent to you by mail.
We do not charge for the labor to install the
culverts.

Prices will vary because
of diameter of pipe and type of pipe used.
Once payment is
submitted along with the Permit Agreement, a work
order will be processed and scheduled.
