Via Interstate 10, take
Westlake Exit off Interstate 10.
Turn North onto Sampson
Street. Go to Old Spanish Trail (first red light
past railroad tracks).
Turn East (right) and go
to the end of the road past school to Miller Avenue
(red light).
Turn North (left) onto
Miller Avenue. Park is located approximately 1 1/2
miles on the east (right) side just past a small
bridge.

Boat Launch:
Riverside Park has a public boat launch which enters
into the Calcasieu River. This site was originally
known as the Old Ripley's Landing. A wharf is
available at this site and is often used for fishing
and crabbing.
Camping: No
overnight camping or mooring is allowed at this park
and open fires are prohibited.
Picnic: Covered
picnic tables available.
Pavilion: A
pavilion is available at Riverside Park to rent for
various activities such as family reunions,
receptions, parties, etc. No commercial or fund
raising activities are allowed at this building. The
pavilion has air/heat, 6 - 8-foot folding tables,36
chairs, refrigerator, and stove. There is a fenced
back area with two (2) large BBQ pits. The pavilion
measures 31'x37' (1,147 sq. ft) and accommodates
approximately 75-100 people. This pavilion is rented
on a daily basis from 8:00 am to 12:00 am
(Midnight). Cost of rental for the Riverside Park
Pavilion is $60.00 for pavilion plus a $25.00
refundable clean-up fee for a total cost of $85.00.
Clean-up fee is refundable to renter only if renter
cleans building. An extra $25.00 clean-up fee is
required should you have a crawfish/shrimp/crab boil
or fish fry. This pavilion must be reserved in
person at the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Facility
Management Office at 1015 Pithon
Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana, Monday-Friday, 8:00
am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Parking: Parking
area is limited for this park and cannot be reserved
for specific use of the pavilion renter.
