Go to the spur of
Highway 378 and follow the signs towards Sam Houston
Jones State Park. At the intersection of Sutherland
Road turn right. (Turning left will take you to the
Park)
Follow Sutherland Road
approximately 2 3/4 miles to Dunn Ferry Road.
Go approximately 2 1/2 miles to Holbrook Park Road.
Turn right onto Holbrook
Park Road. Entrance to the park is on the
right side of the road where the road takes the
first curve to the left. Holbrook park is
located at the end of this road.

Boat Launch:
Holbrook Park has a public boat launch into the West
Fork of the Calcasieu River.
Point of Interest:
Inside Holbrook Park is a small picturesque lake.
Fishing is allowed; however, you may not use
water-craft with motors on this lake.
Camping: This
park has tent camp sites and thirteen (13) RV camper
sites with electricity available. Rental rates for
tent sites without electricity included is $4.00 per
night. RV camper sites with electricity are
available for $12.00 per night. Length of stay is
limited to fourteen (14) continuous days. Payment is
made to resident park keeper and will be collected
at beginning of stay. No reservations are accepted
for camping facilities. Rental of tent sites and RV
sites are on a first-come/first-serve basis. Dump
station available for RV users.
Playground:
Playground center with many fun features.
Picnic: Picnic
areas spread throughout park. Many of these sites
are beside the water.
Large Pavilion: A
pavilion is available at Holbrook Park to rent for
various activities such as family reunions,
receptions, parties, etc. No commercial or fund
raising activities are allowed at this building.
The pavilion has air/heat, (12) 8-foot folding
tables, 96 chairs, refrigerator, stove and large BBQ
pit. It
measures 39'x23' (897 square ft) and accommodates
approximately 50 people. This pavilion is rented on
a daily basis from 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM (one hour
after midnight).
Cost of rental for the Holbrook Park Pavilion is
$60.00 for pavilion plus a $25.00 refundable
clean-up fee for a total cost of $85.00. Clean-up
fee is refundable to renter only if renter cleans
building. An extra $25.00 clean up fee is required
should you have a crawfish/shrimp/crab boil or fish
fry. This pavilion must be reserved in person at the
Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Facility Management Office at 1015 Pithon
Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana, Monday-Friday, 8:00
am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
