Funeral Leave

Absence due to death of someone in an employee's immediate family will be excused and paid up to a maximum of three business days:  the day before the funeral, the day of the funeral, and the day after the funeral depending on the relationship of the deceased to the employee.

Jury Duty / Civil Leave

If an employee is called to court jury duty, or summoned to Court as a witness, they will be paid their regular salary or wage.  However, they will be expected to report to work if a reasonable amount of time remains during their workday.  In addition, they must submit a copy of their court summons to their immediate supervisor and the Human Resources Department.

Military Leave

If an employee is called to active military duty, their job will be protected in accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-employment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA).
