Beginning June 2nd, East Prien Lake Road will be
closed to all traffic at the Kayouchee Coulee Bridge for construction of a new
bridge. This bridge is located between the Office of Juvenile Justice
Services and Home Depot. Construction is expected to last until August 15,
2005. Traffic will be detoured to LA Hwy 14
and LA Hwy 397. The only access to the Office of Juvenile Justice Services
(Juvenile Detention Center) will be on East Prien Lake Road, traveling from the
east.

Traveling from Lake Charles (First Route)
Take Highway 90 East until you intersect with Hwy 397. Turn right onto Hwy
397 and travel 2.8 miles until you see East Prien Lake Road on the right hand
side of the road. Turn right onto East Prien Lake Road and travel 2.2
miles until you see the Calcasieu Parish Juvenile Detention Center on the right
hand side of the road. Turn into the second driveway and park in the front
parking area near the flagpole.
Traveling from Lake Charles (Second Route)
Take Broad Street east until you come to a fork in the road. Take the road
that branches off to the right (Swift Plant Road) and continue east until it
intersects with Hwy 397. Turn right on Hwy 397 and travel 2.6 miles until
you see East Prien Lake Road on the right hand side of the road. Turn
right onto East Prien Lake Road and travel 2.2 miles until you see the Calcasieu
Parish Juvenile Detention Center on the right hand side of the road. Turn
into the second driveway and park in the front parking area near the flagpole.
Traveling from Sulphur
Take I-10 East to the Cameron/Creole exit (Exit 36). Take the exit and
travel south on Hwy. 397, crossing Hwy 90 and continue south 2.8 miles
until you see East Prien Lake Road on the right hand side of the road.
Turn right onto East Prien Lake Road and travel 2.2 miles until you see the
Calcasieu Parish Juvenile Detention Center on the right hand side of the road.
Turn into the second driveway and park in the front parking area near the
flagpole.
Traveling from Cameron
Take Hwy. 14 North until you intersect with Hwy. 397 (Ward Line Road).
Turn north onto Hwy. 397 and travel 2.3 miles until you see East Prien
Lake Road on the left hand side of the road. Turn left onto East Prien
Lake Road and travel 2.2 miles until you see the Calcasieu Parish Juvenile
Detention Center on the right hand side of the road. Turn into the second
driveway and park in the front parking area near the flagpole.
Traveling from South Lake Charles
Take Tom Hebert Road North until it intersects with Red Davis Road. Turn
right onto Red Davis Road (Hwy. 14 East) and travel approximately 3 miles until
it intersects with Hwy. 397. Turn left (north) onto Hwy. 397 and travel
2.3 miles until you see East Prien Lake Road on the left hand side of the road.
Turn left onto East Prien Lake Road and travel 2.2 miles until you see the
Calcasieu Parish Juvenile Detention Center on the right hand side of the road.
Turn into the second driveway and park in the front parking area near the
