Debris Disposal Sites
Storm Debris Close-out Phase

On March 1st,
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ contractors began
their last pass for storm debris removal in the
Parish, as approved by the Calcasieu Parish Police
Jury. This process is approximately 100% complete.
As roads are approved by
the Public Works Department as cleared of storm
debris, residents on these roads will be responsible
for having any subsequent storm debris removed from
their property, and at their expense. Attached is a
list of locations where residents can bring various
types of debris. Residents are also encouraged to
reference newspaper ads and other sources for
contacting debris removal contractors.
Waste Management, as the Parish’s solid waste
contractor, is picking up yard waste generated from
normal mowing, trimming, etc. Storm debris removal
is not a part of this contract, and should be
disposed of as described above. |
