Calcasieu Office of Juvenile Justice Services to Participate in 1,000 Trees in 1,000 Days Program

Volunteers are invited to help local ecosystems

The Calcasieu Parish Office of Juvenile Justice Services is inviting volunteers to help plant trees as part of the 1,000 Trees in 1,000 Days program. The planting will take place Saturday, March 25th from 8 a.m. to Noon at the Calcasieu Parish Juvenile Detention Center located at 3615 E. Prien Lake Road, Lake Charles. A variety of community sites will be planting trees in the upcoming months to restore, preserve and enhance local ecosystems.

 

Sasol developed the 1,000 Trees in 1,000 Days program in partnership with the McNeese State University Harold & Pearl Dripps Department of Agricultural Science and 11 other community organizations, through the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana. Learn more at www.SasolNorthAmerica.com
